I was fooling around with audacity and created this neat little sound. I have no clue how to lower the volume, and really, i mean it: this thing is loud. I keep my volume at 10% and i couldn't even listen to this thing with my headphones. I have tried to lower the volume (so that it doesn't hurt the ears) but to no avail. If you by chance know how (in audacity) then feel free to tell me in the comments and i'll re-upload a non-deafening version. If you use it i don't mind at all, though i am curious, if you do use it, what you'll use it for. Either way, i don't mind, but i'm curious by nature.

Electronic powerup style sound of large spacecraft or device, deep rumbling, electric dialup. Could also be used for futuristic spacecraft launch. An alarm inspired by the utsuho reiuji one in touhou 11/12. 3! this might have been done with a vst called ice cream but that's only because i hear some suggestions of a tritone in there. (i made this a while ago. ) in any case, it appears to be the result of noodling around in mixcraft 6!.

Outside my house recording of a helicopter that was circling overhead; not directly, but at an oblique angle - maybe a mile away or so. You can hear some birds and other ambient neighborhood sounds as the helicopter circles overhead a few times.

Flying a quad copter indoors. Recorded on a wileyfox storm phone. About 20 seconds in, some card is ingested into the rotor blades resulting in a crash.

First test sample using 2 ntg3's for seperate left and right audio channels. Recorded using fostex fr2-le, mogami neglex quad xlr cables. Aircraft were about 10-20ft about microphones.

An old manual cash register open and close, a coin rattle and whirr. If used, please feel free to drop here a link,would love to see where and how it's being used.

If you stand just underneath a commercial airplane as it's coming in to land (as was the case here at dfw airport) and so long as there's not a lot of noise around you (like loud traffic, etc. ) then when the jet passes overhead, what you can't see is that at the tips of the wings are rapidly spinning vortices of air that coil off the wingtips as the plane passes through air. These long, coiling spirals of air will eventually "close" and as that happens, it creates a momentary but bizarre, surreal sound that you really need to hear for yourself in person to get the full effect. This was the best i could capture on august 15th, 2022. Enjoy!.
